Pitfall: The Lost Expedition

Pitfall: The Lost Expedition is an Action game, developed by Torus Games and published by Activision, which was released in 2004.

Pitfall: The Lost Expedition, sometimes known by its pre-release name Pitfall Harry, is a 3D action-adventure game developed by Edge of Reality and published by Activision for the PlayStation 2 (Platform), GameCube (Platform), and Xbox (Platform) on February 18, 2004, with a PC (Platform) release (ported by Beenox) on October 15, 2004.
The second 3D game in the Pitfall (Franchise) series of adventure-themed platformers (after the 1998 game Pitfall 3D: Beyond the Jungle), The Lost Expedition reboots the series with the player taking on the role of the original Pitfall Harry (Character) (voiced by Steve Blum (Person)) in a more modern third-person platforming adventure. Set in the year 1935, the comically-suave treasure hunter survives a plane crash in the Peruvian jungle and becomes a one-man rescue party, only to embark on a quest to save the lost city of El Dorado (Location). Joining him is a missing archaeologist's bookworm daughter Nicole, along with the talking jaguar Quickclaw (Character). Like Pitfall 3D: Beyond the Jungle, the game includes a playable version of the 1982 Atari 2600 game Pitfall! hidden easter egg. It also includes the sequel, Pitfall II: Lost Caverns, as a hidden unlockable. At the same time, the game received a handheld Game Boy Advance (Platform) adaptation by Torus Games, reworking the story as a combination 2D side-scrolling platformer and overhead action-adventure game. The original game later received a Wii (Platform) release on September 23, 2008, where it was re-titled to Pitfall: The Big Adventure and includes optional motion control for certain actions.
