Suikoden IV
The fourth installment of Konami's long-running RPG series Suikoden. In this game, set 150 years prior to the original Suikoden, players will begin an adventure through the rough seas of the Suikoden universe's Island Nations.
Story Suikoden IV tells the story of young man growing up on the island of Razril and how he came into possession of the Rune of Punishment, one of the 27 True Runes.
The player assumes the role of this young boy as they attempt to recruit all 108 stars of destiny and raise an army capable of stopping the oppressive Kooluk empire from taking over the once peaceful Island Nations. Gameplay The gameplay in Suikoden IV is largely the same as it has always been in the Suikoden titles. The player travels the world fighting monsters and recruiting allies all the while building up their base of operations(this time a large boat.) The battle system is changed slightly from the previous games, this time only allowing 4 party members in combat at a time. Another change to the formula is the addition of ship battles, a form of boat vs. boat combat on the open sea that plays out like a simple Rock, Paper, Scissors style RTS game.Soundtrack The Suikoden IV original soundtrack was composed and arranged by Masahiko Kimura, Norikazu Miura, Michiru Yamane, and coba . It was released as a 2 CD set in Japan on June1st, 2005.
