One of the earliest baseball games developed for the system and based on Sega's World Series Baseball series, Baseball Advance features teams from Major League Baseball and pre-rendered 3D graphics.It later received a Japanese release by Sega on August 8, 2002, where it is known as Greatest Nine. A short-lived revival of the Greatest Nine sister series, it switches from the MLB's roster to that from Nippon Professional Baseball.
