William Schmitt (THQ) recently stated that you can knock an opponent out within 10 seconds; based on factors like timing, angle, stance and weight distribution.Other notable aspects:The submission and tap sequences currently involve a two stage process, you have to complete both stages to achieve either outcome. There is no HUD except for round, round time and an optional stamina bar (which can be activated in the options menu), otherwise all damage and exhaustion are shown through the fighters appearance. Damage is not just superficial, if your fighter has a swollen eye the impaired vision will affect his striking from that side of the body.
