The player, finding themselves in a strange galaxy, must explore strange planets, interact with unique races, and build their ship from a small shuttle to powerful battlecruiser. Gameplay is similar to Starflight, Star Control II and the Escape Velocity series: the player controls a top-down ship in an open universe with a strong emphasis on story and free-form exploration.
