Shrek

Set after the 2001 film of the same name, Shrek puts players in control of the repugnant ogre hero of the same name as he tries to rescue Princess Fiona from the evil wizard Merlin.

OverviewShrek is a comedic fantasy platformer developed by DICE Canada and published by TDK Mediactive for the Xbox in North America on November 15, 2001 and in Europe on March 27, 2002.
Based on the 2001 CGI family film of the same name, Shrek continues the story from the movie, with the eponymous ogre hero having to complete Good Deeds throughout the kingdom in order to infiltrate Merlin's evil tower and rescue Princess Fiona.Much of the game is performing different objectives for each level, similar to Super Mario 64. Along with platforming, carrying, and basic melee combat, Shrek can use fart clouds and spicy burps in combat, both of which can be combined for an explosive effect. The game is known for being the first commercial game to use the graphical technique of deferred shading, and for including characters designed by Todd McFarlane. It later received an updated GameCube conversion by DICE on October 30, 2002 (in North America) and October 24, 2003 (in Europe). Known as Shrek Extra Large, this version features new levels and an updated story (where Shrek must instead retrieve Merlin's crystal ball from The Ice Queen).
