2 is a CD-based Full Motion Video (FMV) game that uses film sequences to provide clues to various "cases". The player navigates a directory of names and locales to select relevent scenes to gain clues. These clues lead the player to new scenes until enough information has been gathered to "try the case" with the magistrate.The three cases included:The Two LionsThe Pilfered PaintingsThe Murdered Munitions MagnateThe game followed Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective, and like its predecessor was released on the PC CD-ROM, Sega CD and TurboGrafx-CD. It was followed by Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective: Volume III.
