An extension of the numerous "SEGA Genesis Classics" releases of Sega Genesis games on Steam from 2010-2012, the SEGA Genesis Classics hub presents a single interface for numerous Sega Genesis games (including previously-bought "SEGA Genesis Classics" releases). In addition to the new interface (which resembles an interactive 3D bedroom), this hub supports numerous graphical filters and Steam Workshop support for ROM hacks. The compilation was later released, with most games included, for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on May 29, 2018, adding online matchmaking, leaderboards, bonus challenge modes, optional region switching for some games, and support for save states, rewinding, and fast forwarding. All of these features, along with VR headset support, were also added to the PC version at the same time. VR support was later added to the PS4 version.GamesThe compilation supports only the Sega Genesis versions of the following games:Alex Kidd in the Enchanted CastleAlien Soldier (EN, JP)Alien StormAltered BeastBeyond Oasis (EN, JP, FR, GE, SP)Bio-Hazard BattleBonanza Bros.ColumnsColumns III: Revenge of ColumnsComix ZoneCrack DownDecap AttackDr. Robotnik's Mean Bean MachineDynamite Headdy (EN, JP)Ecco the Dolphin (PC version only)Ecco: The Tides of Time (PC version only)Ecco Jr. (PC version only)ESWAT: City Under SiegeEternal Champions (PC version only)Fatal LabyrinthFlickyGain GroundGalaxy Force IIGolden AxeGolden Axe IIGolden Axe IIIGunstar HeroesKid ChameleonLandstalker (EN, FR, GE)Light CrusaderPhantasy Star IIPhantasy Star III: Generations of DoomPhantasy Star IV: The End of the MillenniumRistar (EN, JP)Shadow Dancer: The Secret of ShinobiShining ForceShining Force IIShining in the DarknessShinobi III: Return of the Ninja MasterSonic the HedgehogSonic the Hedgehog 2Sonic SpinballSonic the Hedgehog 3 w/ Sonic & Knuckles (PC version only)Sonic 3D BlastSpace Harrier IIStreets of RageStreets of Rage 2 (EN, JP)Streets of Rage 3 (EN, JP)Super Thunder BladeSword of VermilionThe Revenge of ShinobiToeJam & EarlToeJam & Earl in Panic on FunkotronVectormanVectorman 2Virtua Fighter 2Wonder Boy III: Monster LairWonder Boy in Monster WorldAs a bonus, all owned games on the Steam version are also included as ROMs, which can be used in any emulator of choice.
