As with all games in the series except Panzer Dragoon Saga Zwei is an on rails shooter where the player takes on the role of a Dragon and it's rider.The dragon rider in Panzer Dragoon Zwei is a man named Jean-Luc Lundi who discovers a mutant coolia (the cattle of the Panzer universe) which has grown wings, soon after Jean-Luc makes this discovery his village is destroyed by a gigantic floating battleship (which we later discover is called the shelcoof). He then sets off with the dragon (who he names Lagi) on a quest to destroy the shelcoof and avenge his fellow villagers.Panzer Dragoon II Zwei was one of the few games which could be presented in 16:9 resolution.
