Similar to the studio's Cruis'n series, Off Road Challenge features arcade-style point-to-point racing, this time with multiple types of off-roading trucks. It is sometimes seen as a spiritual successor to Super Off Road, of which the original studio was merged into Midway, as players can purchase the same types of upgrades between races using money earned. It later received a home conversion by Avalanche Software for the Nintendo 64, published by Midway in North America on June 30, 1998 and in Europe on September 1998. This version features two-player split-screen multiplayer, a single-player campaign-based "Circuit" mode, and three additional hidden courses. It later received an over-the-top successor with Offroad Thunder.TrucksStandard TrucksToyota Trophy TruckClass 10 Heavy-MetalBaja BuggyClass 8 Mini-MetalExtra TrucksToyota 4x4 MonsterThe CrusherThe PunisherThunder BoltTracksMojave (Beginner)Baja (Beginner)El Paso (Intermediate)Pikes Peak (Intermediate)Vegas (Advanced)Ol' South (Advanced)Bonus N64 TracksFlagstaffEl CajonGuadalupe
