StorylineAs the final events of Deadly Alliance, Raiden's warriors lay down during their battle against and the Deadly Alliance itself ( Shang Tsung and Quan Chi). The Elder Gods had told Raiden not to interfere, but he defied their wishes. He challenged the alliance of Shang Tsung and Quan Chi inside Shang Tsung's palace, in Mortal Kombat. Raiden fought well but Quan Chi proved to be too much for him. Shang Tsung then absorbs a soul from the pool of souls. He uses this to strike down Raiden and Quan Chi and Shang Tsueng then takes out Raiden.KonquestKonquest mode is an RPG like mode in Unchained. The player explores Shujinko's past starting from Bo Rai Cho's training ending at the beginning of Mortal Kombat: Deception. KryptReturning from Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance, the Krypt in Unchained was cut down from 676 Koffins to 400 Koffins. The downside is it has to save every time you buy a koffin.   Chess Kombat This version of chess features Mortal Kombat characters and greatly differs from the way you play ordinary chess, there's traps, spells and power-ups.  Puzzle KombatVery similiar to the Street Fighter puzzle games, except with Mortal Kombat characters.  Mortal Kombat: Unchained received generaly positive reviews, despite its flaws. It is regarded as the best portable MK game ever released.
