Overview Marie no Atelier: Salburg no Renkinjutsushi (Or Atelier Marie: Alchemist of Salburg) is the first game in Gust's Atelier series.
  It was released on May 23, 1997 in Japan.  It is also the first game set in the Salburg universe, and was followed by Elie no Atelier and Lilie no Atelier.  The Atelier series and its central concept of alchemy would be carried on into several spin-off franchises including the Atelier Iris and Mana-Khemia series.  Plot The game focuses on Marie, a scatter-brained alchemy student who has the distinction of possessing the worst GPA in the history of her academy.  Crossover Marie also appears in Cross Edge, a crossover RPG developed by Compile Heart that features characters from several RPG franchises.
