Lunacy
A successor to the adventure game series Mansion of Hidden Souls, Lunacy follows an amnesiac traveler who explores a desolate, misty town in order to find a mysterious city and recover his memories.
Overview Lunacy, known in Japan as Gekkamugentan: Torico (loosely translated to "Moonflower Mist Fantasy: Torico") and in Europe simply as Torico, is a first-person adventure game developed by System Sacom and published by Sega for the Sega Saturn in Japan on June 28, 1996 and in Europe in early 1997, with Atlus later publishing it in North America on May 1997.
A successor to the studio's earlier Mansion of Hidden Souls series, Lunacy tells the tale of an amnesiac traveler known only as "Fred", who ends up in the desolate City of Mists in order to find a way to recover his memory. Bearing an unusual crescent mark on his forehead, he is told of a legendary City of Moons, where those who leave it lose their memory and are marked in the same way. He is then threatened by the ruler of the City of Mists, the heartless Lord Gordon, into finding an entrance to the fabled city.Like the Mansion of Hidden Souls series, every movement and interaction in Lunacy is a series of pre-rendered 3D CGI full-motion video cutscenes, with players exploring the city, interacting with its inhabitants, and solving simplistic puzzles (by finding and using items). The game is known for its "Memory Select' feature, which allow players to revisit key earlier cutscenes as "memories" to keep them from being lost.
