The Blubbermen was the first of Infocom's Infocomics line of interactive comics. The comic was a spoof of 1930's style science fiction adventures, and was written by Steve Meretzky. In 2029 the earth is overrun by the Blubbermen from space and only Lane can stop them.A promotional issue of the Lane Mastodon comic was released. Issue number 91 in which "Lane battles the Shameless Leather Goddess," a reference to The Leather Goddess of Phobos, another Infocom game. The issue was printed in red/blue 3D.
