Based on the traveling basketball exhibition team of the same name, Harlem Globetrotters puts players in a simple game of basketball between the team and the no-nonsense (but generally ineffective) Washington Generals. Players can play the game as either team, with the Globetrotters having access to various trick plays (such as behind-the-back passes, slam dunks, piggy-back slams, and embarrassing the referee for a free jump ball).
It later received a Nintendo Entertainment System (Platform) release on March 1991. This version features four-player multiplayer support via multitap.
