The game was exclusive to the North American region. The goal of Double Dare is to answer trivia questions for cash prizes: if Team A doesn't know the answer, they can "dare" Team B to answer it, however this means Team B will earn twice the amount if they get it right. Team B can also "double dare" Team A to answer it for four times the original amount, or else face a physical challenge. If Team A dares or double-dares Team B and Team B gets it wrong, or if Team B fails the physical challenge, Team A wins the money on offer. At the start of the show and after the half-time, the two teams are required to play a "toss-up" mini-game that determines who will be the first to answer questions. The winner of the toss-up will also receive a cash prize. Double Dare's mini-games often require a timing component in which the player has to hit a "speed" and "angle" counter at the right points to accomplish the objective.
