Overview Demolition Man is the name of two video game tie-ins with the 1993 sci-fi action film of the same name, both of which are multi-genre action games:One for the 3DO, developed and published by Virgin Interactive Entertainment on October 1, 1994.
This incorporates full-motion video and digitized actors, with both Sylvester Stallone and Wesley Snipes reprising their roles. Along with the main on-rail shooter segments, the game incorporates one-on-one fighting segments, first-person shooter segments, and vehicular pursuit segments.One for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, Sega Genesis, and Sega CD, all developed by Alexandria and published by Acclaim throughout 1995. The Sega CD version includes clips from the film as cutscenes. Along with the main side-scrolling action-platformer segments, the game incorporates top-down shooter segments. Both games follow the plot of the film, in which officer John Spartan (the titular "Demolition Man", named due to the collateral damage he often causes, portrayed by Sylvester Stallone) is brought out of cryo-stasis to pursue the psychopathic criminal Simon Phoenix (portrayed by Wesley Snipes) in futuristic 2032.
