Based on the studio's Golden Tee series (and using the same hardware and business model as Golden Tee LIVE), PowerPutt uses a dedicated trackball control panel (similar to Golden Tee LIVE) to control the power and accuracy of each putt.The game received multiple updates years after its release, with its online version as PowerPutt LIVE, up to 2013. It was later re-released in 2022, included in the Arcade Collection arcade compilation cabinet (alongside Target Toss Pro and Silver Strike Bowling) as PowerPutt Golf.
