Hothead Games
A game developer that focuses on digital distribution and episodic content. Shutdown in December 2024.
Hothead Games is based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. They became well-known through their work on the game Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness, released in 2008, which was followed by On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness: Episode Two. Episode Three was scheduled for release in 2008, but Penny Arcade has since then confirmed that Episode Three is cancelled due to Hothead focusing on their own new IPs currently in development. Hothead Games is also currently working on two other games: DeathSpank and Swarm. Hothead games helped port the indie game Braid to the Mac, and assisted in the PSN port of the game.

Closure
In December 2024 CEO Ian Wilkinson announced on the companies linkedin page that the studio had closed down on the 13th that same month, the main reasons being that publishers had pulled out on short notice leaving the studio with no option other than bankruptcy.
