Armature Studio

Armature Studio

Formed in April 2008, Austin-based Armature Studio was formed by 3 former employees of Retro Studios who were key developers of the Metroid Prime series. The studio was acquired by Meta in October 2022.

Overview

The company signed an exclusive publishing deal with EA approximately 3 months after its inception but no games ever materialized from that deal. Armature's first shipped product is the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection for PlayStation Vita, which they co-developed with Bluepoint.

Armature was founded by Mark Pacini (Design Director for the entire Metroid Prime Trilogy), Todd Keller (Art Director for the entire Metroid Prime Trilogy) and Jack Mathews (Principle Technology Engineer for the entire Metroid Prime Trilogy).
